Questions:
1. What are your thoughts on social texting?
2. Do you find it rude if you're talking to somebody and they continuously proceed to text on their cell phone?
3. If you had to come up with a list of five etiquette rules for texting, what would they be?
Answers:
1. I don't think that social texting is wrong unless you want to talk to somebody and have no other way. Just as long as it doesn't completely become their main priority and cause them to become unaware of what is happening around them.
2. Yes, I do find it rude if I'm talking to somebody and they decide to continue texting on their phone because that shows that they are showing no attention to me or anything that I'm saying.
3. The rules that I would come up with in a list would be...
(1) Do not be texting all the time continuously
(2) Don't let texting stop your awareness of your surroundings
(3) Do not put texting as a highest priority rather than other important things. (studying, friends, family, etc.)
(4) Don't text all the time if you don't need to. Especially if your texting plan is limited.
(5) Think before texting. (Ask yourself if its a necessary text or not)
